Good morning, every one.
Today,I`d like to share a book with you. It is a chinese book, so i need to use a lot of chinese words. It must spoil the presentation, but I`m sure I love it so much and good things should be shared.
The book is 《悟空传》. I don`t know how to translate it. The 悟空 has it own world–the Monkey King. So, the Monkey King`s life or a biography of the Monkey King. I am not sure.Certainly, it is related to the famous traditionary long novel Journey to the west. But the story I share today suppose the trip is a intrique rather than the confess.
The four people have their own story. It is said that god control everything and they can`t bear anyone to disobey their desire. If you challenge it, you will be punished. They do it just to protect their authority.
500 years ago, the 八戒 just stood to help his loving girl who made a mistake. So he was punished to be a pig and they can`t fall in love with. The 沙僧 was misread to break a small cup made of glaze, so he was punished to be a monster. The 玄奘 was the buddha`s second student 金蝉子, he queried the buddha`s dharma. So he should be a normal people and experience the suffering. The Monkey King just want to be free and get a easy life. But god must control him, he choose to fight with his friend. They failed and the monkey was punished. He forgot everything.
500 years later, the buddha told them to take the trip and they will be free. But it just be a trick, because there are so many monsters waiting for them. Even they finish the trip and be the buddha, there is no difference with death. You can`t love can`t be jealous. You lose any emotion and you will be under control..
However, they are not the weak. On the way,these monsters we`re familiar with, for example, they were the friends with the monkey. They waited for them for 500 years to stop his trip, because they need their friend who has passion rather than a monkey sumbit to the god. They knew they can`t compete the monkey but they chose it at any price even their life.
When they arrive the heaven, 玄奘 remove the monkey`s 紧箍咒. He want the monkey to find himself. The monkey recalled everything. He chose to fight again. The 八戒 still loved the girl although he can no longer see her. They still chose to disobey the god, they are the heroes.
There is no doubt that the monkey can`t defeat the buddha, but the courage and inspiration is the most important. They never give up. the story is over.
As far as I am concerned, the writer want to show us that you should contend for your own fate although there`re too many battles around you. Maybe we can`t change the fate because we are under control. But we at least fight for ourselves once. That is the meaning.
I think maybe yo think the story is ridiculous or just a joke. I just want to introduce it. The world is beautiful because it`s colorful and rich.
